I visit this store every Tuesdau evening...or at least I used to. It is not at all uncommon to be charged twice for an item. It is impossible to catch this as they keep the amount screen turn towards them; you have to stand behind them to see it!
On December 2, 2014 (5:51 per the receipt) I visited and purchased two gallons of milk...along with $135.00 worth of other things. One of the milks was already in the cart by the time I finished unloading. When the cashier picked up the second gallon she rang it in twice. When I asked about this she stated she had not rung in the first one. I accepted this. Once home I noticed she had rung in one early on the receipt and two more near the end. I have tried in vain to find a phone number for this store in a effort to resolve the matter and not get anyone into trouble.....the address is listed but no where can I find a number. (As I work in law enforcement this makes me very concerned as to why a business number must be so hidden! I know they have a phone...cashiers are on them all the time while ringing people out!)
Usually, I accept paying for an item twice as they are often cheap items and I considered it the price for the lower prices and the convience of being next door to the music studio my child takes lessons every Tuesday. But since I specifically asked about the double beep and was lied to I have decided I must think about this again.
I have always feed my large family from Aldi's, I even shopped there before I had a family. Schnucks is not much farther away.
