Useless! In an attempt to remedy the effects of a poorly designed APS computer program was treated to an assortment of mechanical voices offering numbered options which had no bearing on my requirement and no recourse to timely human intervention.<br /> I was trying to remedy the effect of glitch in the APS computer system in which a customer's payments over a 12 month period are reviewed to detect discrepancies and without regard to subsequent remedial action during the same period, are used to cancel the affected customer's autopay.<br /> In my case my bank number and account numbers were transposed and APS' requests for payment from my bank were refused. This discrepancy was corrected and subsequent payments were successfully made.<br /> Successes in payment had no effect on the APS system and, of a sudden, my autopay account was cancelled using the aforementioned criteria.<br /> Pay up including a fine for delinquency or we'll turn off your electricity. In an environment where you are totally dependent on electricity, this has the appearance of extortion: we are captive to APS in our dependence on electricity. APS' reliance on some faceless system analyst's interpretation of the outside world has resulted in little less than bullying a subservient audience.
