Hello. I shopped at Aldi's recently and found that they had eliminated all but one register which of course was operated by a human. The other checkouts were 'robots'. I am still trying to process this....I haven't decided whether this is good or not so good. While I am all for any move on the part of mgmt to save the store money, if indeed that is the motive here, I miss the human interaction (with cashiers).
