This location has wonderful pharmacy technicians. However, I dealt with a pharmacist today that did not follow her ethical responsibility to show respect and treat each patient equally. As a former pharmacy technician myself and a current student of medicine I was shocked to find that this "pharmacist" was allowed to speak to me rudely, without respect and with disregard of my privacy. I promptly went around the corner to Noland Rd CVS and was treated kindly, was offered a transfer of my medication refill within 24 hours and was shown respect as a person. I am appalled at the unethical behavior of this "professional" woman. I will be sure to "make noise" until she is held accountable so that no person refilling a controlled substance is ever spoken to like a junkie off the streets again. I have been on this medication since my diagnosis back in 2008, getting it filled at CVS each month, never abusing my medication or attempting early refills. Today I was one day early and the technician at Noland CVS explained it to me and I said, "ok, thank you." She was kind. The young technicians at the Lee's Summit Rd branch were apologetic of the "boss'" behavior and a man in the parking lot who overheard what happened agreed that this woman needed be reported. As a human being of equal value, I am ashamed of this person's judgment calls and words to me. I reported her immediately, will write the press, the local blogs, my homeschool and PTA circles and my fellow chemotherapy buddies. Shame on her and shame on the person who allowed her to become such a dangerous employee.
