My sister, a cerebral palsy quad, frequently requires blood work. She is fully wheelchair bound and can NOT get out of the wheelchair unless lifted out. While your facility has never been wheelchair 'friendly' it has been doable, however recently new blood draw chairs have been installed in ALL 3 rooms making it almost impossible to get her into a room. I say almost impossible because the staff go through great lengths to move things around for her. While I commend the staff's efforts, my sister finds this situation embarrassing and wants to do the blood draw outside of the room which I find unacceptable.
I can only conclude that the person who designed this facility and/or installed the new 'draw' chairs has never spent any time in or around wheelchairs. It would seem axiomatic that a medical facility such as this would be sensitive to this issue and meet ADA requirements. I am requesting at this time that you would make at least one 'draw room' easily accessible for a motorized wheelchair.
On the positive side I find most of the personnel in this facility very pleasant and efficient and the results of the blood draw communicated to the doctor promptly.

Don't make an appointment. They are always ridiculously late.
