I was at this lab on Wed., 9/25/13 to pick up a necessary container & instructions for a 24 hr. urine. After waiting 1/2 hr., a very nice man assisted me. He gave me the container, instructions, took my personal info., copied my medical cards and told me to return when I had the specimen. He said that he had all my info and that when I returned, I would not have to wait. I just had to hand the specimen and paperwork to someone in the lab.
On the morning of 9/27/13, I returned to a crowded lab. I attempted to hand my specimen & paperwork to a technician. I was abruptly told to sign my name and sit down. I attempted to tell the technician that I had been told that I wouldn't have to wait. Before I finished my explanation, this tech, rudely said, "sign your name & take a seat".
I know they were very busy and the lab was packed with patients. However, I waited another 1/2 hr., during this time, only one person was called back, so I put my specimen up on the counter , in front of this same tech and said to her, "I am not suppose to wait again today. Here is my specimen & paperwork, and I walked out".
I know the lab is under construction and I hope that the larger lab will have more help. However, this tech's rudeness was not necessary.
