My Grandmother (Rosa Wilson) worked at this store location for many, many years. I have so many fond memories, but the staircase at this location was something out of Gone With The Wind, at least to me many, many years ago. I do not remember most of the peoples names that worked there, but Ms. White was one of them I do remember. Anyway, thank you JC Penney on Jefferson Avenue for wonderful memories (circa 1970).

I cannot believe someone has not commented. My grandmother, Rosa Lea Wilson worked here for MANY years, we came here as children. I always thought the staircase up to the childrens department (and the offices) was something out of Gone With The Wind. I have so many good memories of this store. I can't remember my grandma's boss' name, but I remember Mrs. White worked with my "Mema" there. I think the bosses name was Mr. Dutton (but I could be wrong), anyway, thank you JC Penney for great childhood memories! Circa 1968-1973(?)
